Feel more confident about your child’s online world

Screensafe gives parents practical, up-to-date support to help their children stay safer online and build stronger digital wellbeing.

WHAT YOU GET AS A PARENT

Real support for the online world your child is actually living in

The Screensafe parent hub is built around what primary school children aged 5 to 11 are actually doing online today: the apps they use, the pressures they face and the conversations worth having before something goes wrong. Everything is accessible and practical. You don’t need to be a tech expert to use any of it.

Short, practical videos
Videos covering the platforms, apps, games and online situations that come up most for families with primary school children. Topics include screen time, social media, gaming, AI tools and online friendships. Most are under ten minutes and designed to watch in your own time.
Downloadable guides and resources
Tip sheets, conversation starters and practical tools you use at home. How to talk about screen time with a nine-year-old. What to do if your child in Year 5 has seen something upsetting online. What the apps your child uses actually look like and why children their age use them.
Live parent webinars
Termly live sessions covering what is happening in the online lives of primary school children right now, with time for questions. All sessions are recorded and available to watch back if you cannot attend live.
Online safety and digital wellbeing support throughout the year
New content is added throughout the year as new platforms emerge and new questions come up. Whether your child is in Year 1 or Year 6, you always have current, relevant support.
THE SCREENSAFE APPROACH

Honest, practical support

A lot of online safety content for parents leads with alarm. It talks about worst-case scenarios in a way that leaves you feeling frightened but no more capable of helping your child. That’s not what Screensafe is for.

Understanding

The starting point is understanding. Understanding what your child’s online life looks like at their age, what draws them to the platforms they use, and what the genuine risks are. When you understand the world they are in, you have better conversations, spot concerns earlier and respond with more confidence.

Technology habits

Children between the ages of 5 and 11 are at a critical stage in forming their relationship with technology. The habits, boundaries and conversations you establish in primary school years shape how they approach their digital lives as they get older.

Building foundations

Online safety and digital wellbeing at this stage isn’t just about preventing harm. It’s about building the foundations for a healthier relationship with the online world.
There's no judgment about the choices you've already made as a parent. Whatever your situation, you’re in the right place.

“Online safety isn’t about filters or blocking sites. It’s about building our children’s confidence, resilience and critical thinking. That starts with adults who feel informed and supported.”

How to get access

Whether your school is already a Screensafe member or you’re signing up independently, getting access is straightforward.

My school is a member

If your child’s school subscribes to Screensafe, you get access to the parent hub as part of that subscription at no cost to you. Your school will have sent you a unique sign-up link in their newsletter, on their app or by email.

Lost your link?

If you've lost your school’s link or aren't sure whether your school is a member, contact your school directly, and they will resend it.

My school isn’t a member

If your child’s school isn’t yet a Screensafe member, you can sign up independently and get full access to the parent hub. You don’t need to wait for your school to subscribe.

Individual parent subscriptions are available at an annual price. You can sign up directly and start using the parent hub straight away.
